Export the Passwords

You will first need to export the passwords from the browser or password manager from which you wish to import. This process creates a single CSV file that will be saved on your hard drive.

After completing the importing of your passwords into ByePass, you can choose to delete this saved CSV file.

You can choose to import into ByePass passwords saved in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, or from a variety of other password managers.

Export CSV file from a Web Browser

The following is an example of how to export a CSV file from Chrome. The steps for Firefox, Edge and Safari may differ slightly.

To export a CSV file from Chrome:

  3. Enable this toggle.
  4. Relaunch your browser.
  5. Type "chrome://settings/passwords" into the URL bar (or navigate from Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings > Manage Passwords).
