While installing System Shield Internet Security you may encounter the following message:

"Installation Cannot Continue.
You must first uninstall any other antivirus or firewall software before you can install System Shield."

This indicates that System Shield Internet Security has detected third party antivirus or firewall software installed on your PC and installation has been halted due to possible conflicts. In most cases removing these third party programs from your PC will resolve the issue and allow you to continue installation. If you do not have antivirus or firewall software installed and you believe you have received this message in error, the following process using a command line switch of /skipavfwcheck will allow you to bypass this detection screen.

Windows Vista Users

Click Start and enter the following command into the Start Search text field, replacing <File Location> with the full path and folder location of the SystemShield.exe installation file:

"<File Location>\SystemShield.exe" /skipavfwcheck

Example: "C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Desktop\SystemShield.exe" /skipavfwcheck would run the System Shield Internet Security setup file from your desktop if you had saved it there.

Note: You must replace <User> in the path above with your personal/unique user name.

Example: "D:\SystemShield.exe" /skipavfwcheck would run the System Shield setup file from a CD or DVD drive.
