My Norton product is presenting a message that System Mechanic is not compatible.
We are aware that our customers are receiving a message that System Mechanic is not compatible with Norton Internet Security 2012 and Norton 360 version 6.0. We have diligently tested System Mechanic with both of the aforementioned applications and found no compatibility problems. We have contacted Symantec, the producer of Norton applications, and informed them that the message is incorrect. We expect the message to be removed in future updates of their software. In the meantime, a Skip & Continue option is present on the Norton Application Compatibility Check screen (an example of which can be viewed below) and should be used to skip that message and continue using both applications in parallel.
If you removed System Mechanic in response to this message you may install it again without charge by clicking here to begin the download and using the Activation Key that you already own to complete the installation.
PLEASE NOTE: If you use System Shield AntiVirus and AntiSpyware standalone or as part of the System Mechanic Professional suite or System Mechanic PC TotalCare suite, then you should not install any other antivirus solution at the same time. Having more than one antivirus solution installed on a PC at the same time can be damaging and lead to competition for the same resources as further explained here. If you currently use System Shield and wish to install and use another anti-malware product (such as one of Norton’s anti-malware products), you should first uninstall System Shield. If System Shield was installed as part of the System Mechanic Professional or System Mechanic TotalCare suite, after uninstalling you will be able to reinstall System Mechanic Professional or System Mechanic TotalCare without the System Shield component.
