A downloaded iolo installation file reports “not a valid Win32 application”

Problem

When attempting to install an iolo technologies product from a CD or downloaded installation file, the system reports that the file is not a valid Win32 application.

Cause

The downloadable installation files are certified as complete and their integrity is tested multiple times daily. If the error occurs during an attempt to install from a CD or a downloaded installation file, it may be due to corrupt installation media, a corrupted installation file download, download managers not completing the download, the Internet connection was terminated abruptly or Internet browser cache.

Resolution

  1. Purge your Internet cache files to avoid additional problems. For instructions on clearing your Internet cache, click here.
  2. Click here to download the latest installation file for your product.
